1.2.02 - Here is what is happening:

Hey Ya'll!

How is all the wonderful Cagleheads doing????  Everyone enjoying the New Year???  Well, Happy New Ya'll and I hope everyone has made wonderful resolutions this year.  Well, Chris has been incredibly busy with touring, spending time with family and friends, and doing interviews/radio interviews that the past month or so he has been put on mandatory voice rest.  I know a lot of you were up-set that concerts near you were cancelled but be reassured that those concert are going to be rescheduled as soon as possible.  I know they are trying their best to reschedule those concert but sometimes it isn't possible.  Luckily, Chris is back on his feet doing what he loves most and making every concert something always to remember.

Well there is some really exciting news to tell ya'll about!!!  Ya'll are just going to scream if you do not already know about this amazing surprise.  Chris is four artists that are apart of BROOKS & DUNN'S NEON CIRCUS & WILD WILD WEST SHOW TOUR!!!!!   Isn't that is awesome!!!  I have updated the tour dates page with Tentative tour dates, but if you already know they are coming to your town, please email me the venue and the city it will be in if it is different than what is on the tour dates page.  Hopefully they will come out with official dates and venues soon.

On other news, Chris has made the semi-finals list for the ACM award Top New Male Vocalist and the finals list should be announce in March or April.  So keep your fingers crossed Chris makes the list.  He really deserves this...I think all of us agree on that.  About another award show...TNN/Country Weekly Awards do not exist anymore.  Last year, after the show, Country Weekly severed their ties with TNN and TNN has totally dropped all type of music programs.  CMT decided not to take the show and keep it going but instead are making their own show called CMT Flameworthy Awards or something like that.  In turn, this award show will not focus on the music as much as the appearance of the artist which means dropping such awards as Male Vocalist of the Year.  This award show will take place the same day that the Country Weekly awards did - Wednesday June 12.  If you would like to tell CMT what you think about their decision, go to www.country.com and go to the bottom of the page to where it says "Questions/Comments" and click on it.  You can write an email that way.

On a lighter note, Fan Fair is June 13-16, 2002.  Unfortunately, I know a lot of people were up-set about the move to downtown Nashville and were hoping that they would come to their senses this year.  Well, they didn't....it is still being held downtown at the Convention Center for the exhibit halls and booths, Riverfront Park for day concerts, Adelphia for night concerts, and family activities over at Bicentennial Park.  Although, this should make more of you happy - they will have the exhibit halls open four days unlike last year, they were only open for three days.  Chris will be having his own booth this year which is going to be awesome...I can tell ya that.  Chris will be apart of the Softball again this year...that has already been confirmed, so get your tickets for that asap.  I am not sure about the award show as of yet.  He will be performing sometime that week but whether it is on the day stage or at Adelphia, I do not know.  Chris will also be having an Official Fan Club Party this year which is going to be awesome.  Some of the details about events Chris will be apart of will be in the next Fan Club Newsletter...especially the Fan Club Party details.  I will post those details once I receive the newsletter.

Chris will be performing on the Opry again!!!!  He will be performing on the Opry March 2 - one month from today!  He will be performing on both shows - the 6:30 and the 9:00 shows.  He will also be having a concert at the WildHorse February 27 which was originally suppose to be March 1.  This is during the week of CRS (Country Radio Seminar), so I suggest if you would like to go to either one of these, go to www.wildhorsesaloon.com or giving them a call (you can find that # on the website - sorry, I don't know it off the top of my head) or www.opry.com and order your tickets for the Opry.  Chris will be busy during CRS with interviews and everything...that should be a great week.

I know a lot of us have not been watching CMT's MWL show since Lance and Amber left the show...but Chris will be on the show February 13, so if you would like to go and get reserved seats, call 615-831-0338.  There will be standing room available as well but if you can come, please do and lets scream our heads off for Chris.  He deserves it.  It would also be awesome if we could get Chris back on the great eight countdown as well.  So please on February 13, please vote and get all of your friends to vote as well.  That would be a great surprise for him.
